This project aims to investigate how Nf1 mutation, optic glioma, and optic glioma chemotherapy dysregulate oligodendrocyte precursor cell (OPC) function and myelination in the optic nerve. The project will address these questions in two specific aims: investigate the effect of Nf1 mutation on optic nerve OPC function in multiple lines of Nf1-OPG mice and determine whether optic glioma and optic glioma chemotherapy affect OPC behavior and myelination.
