RGC Differentiation and Transplantation for NF1 OPG

This project aims to increase our understanding of how to generate human RGCs for transplant, and benefit stem cell-based therapy for vision restoration in NF1 patients. This will be achieved by studying how to promote RGC differentiation and integration after transplant, and exploring novel hypotheses for inducing axon outgrowth, modulating electrical activity, and connecting RGCs to brain target cells.
